STRANGE SKIES
PERSONAL PROJECT

BEIRUT
A series of analog photographs taken six days after Beirut's 4th of August blast. On one hand feeling like she needed to archive the frightening sceneries of the port as evidence of the absurd reality of the moment, and on another hand feeling like the act of taking a photo would be too perverse, Tara documents Beirut's destroyed cityscape and later erodes the images by developing the films with expired chemicals. The images somewhat translate the strangeness and ambiguity of the fragmented space-time she was floating in, blurring the line between the physical reality of the space and the state of her psyche.
